Over the past week, I had a large pitch presentation coming up for a new client at our marketing agency. Typically, we don't create pitch decks or presentations for new client acquisitions unless they're long-term partnerships or involve multi-process projects. Normally, I'd open Keynote or Figma to put together a pitch deck based on our Statement of Work (SOW). This process usually takes about 2-3 hours, even with our templates.
This time, I decided to use AI to see what I could accomplish—partially procrastinating, but needing to get it done before the morning. I jumped on V0 and typed in, "Need a pitch deck created using basic JS for this SOW." Within minutes, I had 90% of what you see below. I was pleasantly surprised; it even improved the writing to make the SOW sound more like a pitch presentation.
After reviewing it on V0 and making a few styling tweaks, I downloaded the presentation and imported it into Cursor. From there, I went slide by slide, making the changes I wanted. I added a few features like:
- Full screen mode
- Hover thumbnails
- Custom header and footer
- Key commands for the pitch
Overall, it took me about an hour from start to finish. I was incredibly impressed, as it saved me about 60% of the time compared to my usual process. We also manage a CRM and a few SaaS apps, so I'll probably develop this further over the next few weeks. Even if it's only for internal use, it's a significant help. Plus, the client was very impressed with the deck, and we ended up closing the deal.
